How do I set default programs in Windows 7? For example, I'm trying to get my email program to always open links using a specific browser. The same goes for HTML files - I'd like Firefox to open them, not IE.

Type "default programs" into the Windows 7 Start Menu search box and you'll find it. Being able to find any folder, program, or file instantly using the Windows 7 search box has to be my favorite feature of this new O/S so far.

You'll notice that you'll need to scroll all the way down past the list of file associations to access the protocol associations (FTP, HTTP, HTTPS). You'll be able to manually browse and select the application (Internet browser) you wish to use to open these protocols (Internet links).
