I also had to go into Look N Stop and create a rule as follows:

Protocol: UDP
IP Address: Mask > 192.168.0.0 & 255.255.0.0
Port: 5353 & 0

Apply this to both source and destination.

Next, click the "Applications..." button at bottom and add "Documents to Go." OK and Save everything.

Finally, reboot Docs to Go on desktop and iPhone. Should work now <img src="http://forum.contractwebdevelopment.com/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

Open the file in MS Word 2010 and click "Save As" (available under More Commands > Show All Commands) if you can't find it. Then, change the document type to Word 2003 (.doc extension instead of .docx), and under the "Tools" drop-down to the left of the save button, select "General Options."

A dialog windows will pop up allowing you to enter an open and a modification password. Click OK to save the file. Resync it in Documents to Go. You should now be able to open it - it will prompt you for the password.

I need to password protect an MS Word 2010 Document in MS Word 2003 encryption so that I can re-open the file in Documents to Go on my iPhone. Apparently the current version of Docs to Go is unable to open files protected with MS Word 2010.

Before you begin, you'll need to find the IP address of your iPhone on your local network. You can find it by going into into your router admin (usually via http://192.168.1.1), and browsing to Status > Local Network > "DCHP Clients Table" button. You'll see a listing of the devices connected to your network along with their IP and Ethernet addresses. Make note of your iPhone IP address (if you can't remember what you named your iPhone, go into iTunes and check).

Next, browse to Applications & Gaming > Port Range Forward. On this page, add the application "Documents to Go", start and end ports 5353, "Both" for protocol, and enter the IP address of your iPhone on your local network. Finally, check the "enabled" box and save your settings.

Re-open Documents To Go and see if it recognizes your iPhone now. If not, post below and we'll troubleshoot further.

I just purchased Documents to Go Pro for my iPhone 3GS. I primarily need it to access files on my PC remotely. I read through the Documents to Go documentation, but am stuck. I'm at the step where the Docs to Go desktop app (Windows 7) should be recognizing my iPhone. It's not.

You might be logging in somewhere else - ie. your iPhone or mobile phone, laptop, etc. Double check that all connections are closed and try again.

I'm trying to access my Hotmail account via Mozilla Thunderbird, and I keep getting the error message "The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop3.live.com responded: login allowed only ever 15 minutes."

The missing email body in iPhone email messages is actually a fairly common problem. While we're not sure what causes it, we do have a solution. There's two things you can do:

1) Shut down and restart your iPhone
2) Double click your home button (square button at bottom), then hold down your finger on the "mail" icon until it's shaking and a red minus appears above it. Touch the red minus. Touch the iPhone home button again, then Restart your mail program.

You should see the email body again now. Basically you need to restart the mail process/ program. 1) Does this by restarting everything (the easier, but longer method). 2) Accomplishes this by restarting the mail process (by double-clicking the home button on your iPhone, and holding down your finger on an icon, you can kill running processes by tapping the minus signs). This is a quicker way of restarting a specific process, short of rebooting your iPhone.

Yes, you can use the following PHP snippet to check a Drupal user's role. Basically this searches the user role array to see if that user has the specified role "initial signup." If it does, then they get redirected to the "registration-success" page. If not (this assumes they're an authenticated user), they get redirected to the "welcome" page.

Is there a way to check a user's role using a php snippet in Drupal 6.x? I basically want to redirect the user on login based on their role. I have an "initial signup" role that gets created immediately after signup, and upgraded to "authenticated user" when they confirm their email address (to prevent spam).

The MS Office 2010 Beta expires on October 31, 2010. At that point, you'll be given the option to purchase the software or initiate an official trial period (which usually lasts 30 days).

Does anyone know when Office 2010 Beta expires? I've been testing it for months now, and haven't noticed a single problem, so it seems fairly stable. In addition, it appears that Microsoft is already selling full version of its Office Suite (at reasonable prices for once, so I might be an early buyer for a change).

Of course, I don't want to jump the gun - I know how long it can take to iron out the last bugs. But again, as I said, I haven't run into any significant issues with my copy of Office 2010 Beta. I suppose if I knew the expiration date I could plan ahead.

Not sure if this is the place to ask this or not - but is there a way to make a video from Vimeo.com auto play? Ie. start immediately when a user hits the page? I have the embed code, and I found a way to resize the video (which works great), but I don't see any parameter that will allow me to auto play the video.

Completely uninstalling webform and re-installing it fixed the issue. I also increased the name varchar for the variable table from 128 to 255, but that was earlier and didn't seem to affect anything.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the webform module (with the latest version), as well as deleting and re-uploading the modules/watchdog folder. And you may want to delete all the webform content as well - backing up info in case you need to re-create them.

Thanks, that did it. Repair operation succeeded. However, now I'm back to getting the LOCK TABLES error. I updated Drupal 5.x core and webform module, still no luck. Any other ideas?

Sounds like you need to increase your PHP memory in php.ini. Ask your hosting provider - they should be able to do this for you.

Tried that and got the following error message at the end of the repair operation:

Make sure that in your FCKEditor settings, for the global profile, you have the "Role precedence" under "Main setup" in the correct order. In your case, you'll probably want to put your "client" role in front of the "authenticated user" role. Otherwise, the client's permissions will get overridden by those for the authenticated user, which usually comes with lesser permissions.

Once you've done this, browse to Content Management > Post Settings > and rebuild your content permissions. Finally, clear your cache (Flush all caches). Then, try and reload the page logged in with a user that has your client profile permissions. You should (hopefully) now see the "browse server" button.

I'm using the IMCE image/ file manager with Drupal, and it works great - but in my "client" permission role the "browser server" button won't show up. It shows up for user-1 and my role that has all kinds of permission.

I've enabled an IMCE profile for the "client" role, added file upload permissions, all to no avail. I'm using IMCE 6.x-1.4. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Without the browse server button my clients can't upload any files or images, which defeats the whole purpose of using IMCE.

Im not an expert but from what Ive read, it is probably an issue in firefox. Go up to "tools" and click "options". Make sure Java and Java script are enabled. That might work.

Salty - if you create a table in Open Office, a pop-up dialog will appear with formatting options for that table. This can get annoying if you don't want to see the pop-up, hence this thread.
